Trigger Warning: Rape, Sexual Assault

I don’t know if I said no

But I didn’t say yes

Hands in fists, belly up

Torn from sleep

Awoken from ignorance

Quiet!

My roommate’s sleeping

Quiet!

The neighbors will hear

Balled up sheets

Misplaced trust

Broken promises

And nowhere to go

“If you don’t leave, I will”

Is what I told you

“If you don’t leave, I will”

Is what I did

You said that’s what I wanted

What I needed

That I didn’t say no

But I didn’t say yes

What I want is love

What I need is respect

A hand to hold, and not restrain

A hand I trust

I don’t know if I said no

But I didn’t say yes
